[Upcoming novel “A Necromancer Witch’s Guide to Escape,” blurb:] Annie, a necromancer witch and one of the seven calamities destined to destroy humanity, is fleeing a hero when she recruits a blond boy who’s barely clinging to life to replenish her ranks, turning him into an undead. “Do you want to live?” “No, that’s not quite right. Is there something you want to accomplish, whether you live or die?” The boy’s throat is already shattered. He struggles to open his mouth, his sapphire-blue eyes gradually losing focus as his life force drains away at an alarming rate. Yet even as he nears death, he keeps his eyes fixed on her, using the last of his strength to reach out and grip her ankle. Annie smiles. “Don’t worry, dear. From this moment on, your soul belongs to me. Not even the Grim Reaper can take you away from my side.” As it turns out, the boy is the Third Prince of the Golden Lion Kingdom, one of the five great nations. Now the necromancer witch is wanted across the entire continent, and her escape just got a whole lot harder. Annie: I regret this so much. So, so much. Reeves: You will always have my soul, my strength, and my love. I pledge my allegiance to you, my witch. An artificial doomsday weapon in the form of a witch and a vengeful prince who has died once decide to defy the will of the gods, survive, and save this world.
