The Genji Clan Head Seems Seriously Unwell

This novel will switch to VIP status on March 1, 2022, starting from Chapter 26. Three chapters will be updated that day.

After sleeping for a thousand years, he awoke at last, thinking he had finally escaped the endless turmoil of the Heian era. But even after leaving behind his constantly feuding clan, the demons with whom he had once shared blood feuds were still around.

Not only were they still around, they had gotten a whole lot worse.

Kou: *smiles*

The demons of the new era were all seriously unwell. There was a divine beast with a species identity disorder, a Dog King suffering from severe nervous exhaustion because his hearing was too good, and a fox demon who loved having bizarre-looking minions ring other people's doorbells to scare them...

Kou: Darling, it's time to take your medicine.

The trouble was, these sick demons didn't think anything was wrong with them. Instead, they thought that the only normal one, Kou, was suffering from delusions, and each of them rushed to show him some love.

The fox demon had his minions ring the doorbell three times a day to deliver a fright... and show their concern.

Kou responded with a magic-enchanted sledgehammer, weighted down and fitted with a blood groove.

The cat with a species identity disorder offered you a steamed bun from the Nanatsujinya shop.

Kou: Thanks, Fox.

Nyanko-sensei: Take a good look! I'm a cat! A mighty, majestic, imposing big cat! ...Wait, what was I again?

A certain Dog King who wished to remain anonymous sent him noise-canceling headphones and sleeping pills.

Kou: "..."

Being alive is exhausting. Let me go back to sleep.

Warnings:

1. The protagonist is the top. A silly, beloved-by-everyone story, with Kou always on top.

2. The setting and worldbuilding include a lot of original elements. The one thing that won't change is Kou's morally ambiguous personality.

3. A dry, sarcastic style, with lots of witty asides.

Theme: Work hard and love life.
