Second Marriage

Zhu Yaoyuan was a fine, upright alpha, but the System forcibly matched him with an omega who had already been marked.

He'd heard this omega was a widower. His former partner had died on the front lines, and he was now going through an unstable pheromone period, desperately in need of being marked again.

When Zhu Yaoyuan first received the notice, he was completely resigned to it.

His disreputable friends gave him all sorts of bad advice. They told him to find someone to seduce the omega into doing something improper, then record it as evidence.

But when Zhu Yaoyuan met him, he found that although the omega had been married before, his pheromones were delightful, and he was a genuine, untouchable beauty. The way he blushed in embarrassment and glared as he cursed was damnably cute.

Zhu Yaoyuan changed his plan on the spot and took him home.

A few months later, the wedding went ahead as planned. Zhu Yaoyuan pinned his newlywed partner against the wall. "I hear you've been married before. Why don't we see which of us is better, me or your ex-husband?"

Younger man, sweet romance, (fake) mutual pining, (fake) marriage first, love later, (fake) getting back together after a breakup.

Naive, cool, older bottom Zhong Wenran x little mad dog who goes woof, but is actually a straight-laced top Zhu Yaoyuan.

A few disclaimers:

1. A little melodramatic, with a touch of non-consensual romance.

2. The top and bottom only have each other from beginning to end. The second marriage is needed for the plot.

3. Updates at night, though the exact time varies.

4. Please be civil when reading. If it's not your thing, just leave. Thank you.

5. The sweetness is up to fate. Readers with a low tolerance for angst, beware.
