Pretending to Be Straight

(A romance variety show about running a business, straight guy x gay guy, unrequited love turns mutual. Sweet!)

Jiang Yun joined a lifestyle variety show. One of the guests was someone he had once had a crush on.

Unfortunately, the other guy was straight.

At first, he hadn't wanted to come at all. But then he thought about how he was leaving the entertainment industry, and how he might never get another chance to talk to He Zheng. Oh, well. One last look, while he still could.

He Zheng put an arm around his shoulders: one point earned.

He Zheng casually showed off his abs: five points earned.

He Zheng pinched his cheek: ten points earned.

He Zheng flirted with a female guest... Damn, points lost!

Jiang Yun busied himself on the show, splitting bamboo, planting flowers, and baking egg tarts, as if he had no improper thoughts about He Zheng at all.

Only he knew he was about to burst from holding it all in.

He Zheng, later on: Add one.

*The customary one-on-one romance, a heartwarming winter treat.

*The story takes place entirely on a variety show.

*An entirely fictional setting, with no real-life inspirations.

[Thanks for following my upcoming story] Iron-Pumping My Way to the Movie Emperor

(A lighthearted, silly, sweet treat, heartwarming and angst-free!)

Ming Chen is a famous pretty-boy in the entertainment industry, with a huge number of fans who like to imagine him as a girl.

He's charming and adorable, with a sweet mouth. All he wants is to laze around and live off others. If he gets so much as a scrape, a whole crowd of female fans will cry, "Little sis, stop acting! Let me take care of you!"

Then one day, Ming Chen suddenly gets a system that promises to make him a peerless martial god.

It wants him to become... a martial god!?

Ming Chen: No thanks!

The System has no choice but to tempt him with rewards: Lift weights 100 times, and you'll run into your male idol. Run 20 kilometers, and you'll hold his hand. Master a Shaolin boxing routine, and you'll get to hug him.

Ming Chen: ... For love! Fine, I'll lift!

Fans: Huh!? Chen is lifting weights!? No! Our adorable Chen can't get muscles! Say no to the female bodybuilder look!

Later, the action movie starring Chen is released.

Fans: What kind of peerless sweetie, dazzling action heroine is this? I'm in love all over again!!!

One day, mixed-race movie emperor Si Yan'an is cornered in an alley by his enemies, who are armed with a sack. He's about to erupt like a volcano.

Suddenly, a boy leaps down from the wall. He's as pretty as a little elf, and in thirty seconds he dodges, twists, and takes down everyone. Then, blushing, he looks at Si Yan'an and eagerly asks for his autograph.

Si Yan'an: ... I don't dare refuse.

**A tearful weightlifting fan who loves to imagine his idol as a girl x a hot-tempered movie emperor who dares not lose his temper in front of Ming Chen

**A quick explanation of the term: fans who like to imagine male idols as girls call them "pretty little sisters" instead of the usual "big brother". They fantasize about pampering their idols and holding them dear.

**A fun, lighthearted, sugary sweet treat with no angst. Just happy (thumbs up).

*The System doesn't get much page time. Once it has saved up enough energy, it goes home.
