Here's an old-school upcoming story, "After the Viperous, Sickly Beauty's Heart Turns to Ashes." Visit my author page and add it to your favorites. The blurb is below this story's blurb. Pairing: Sickly prince gong x upright, honest general shou who dotes on his wife Four years ago, Ye Chong rescued a pitiful little girl from the jaws of a black wolf beyond the border. The delicate beauty was kindhearted, gentle, and considerate. Ye Chong clenched his fists in secret. I have to marry this lovely big sister and bring her home as my wife! From then on, Ye Chong led a carefree life, cherished by his wife during the day and held by her at night. Until one day... his wife's family came to take her away... QAQ Four years later, Ye Chong looked at the seventh prince, whose beauty was like a painting, and felt his whole world turn upside down! Where was the wife he'd been promised? How had she turned into the capital's number-one wastrel, full of wicked schemes? Even worse, why did he think the prince looked even more beautiful now... This is deadly. Unbelievably beautiful, sharp-tongued, a shameless troublemaker, and the capital's number-one wastrel, he smiled faintly. "Husband, when are you going to keep your promise and marry me? How about we consummate the marriage first?" Ye Chong was on the verge of tears. "...I don't think that's a good idea." Neither battle-scarred deserts nor halls piled with bones can stop these two from clinging to each other, being disgustingly affectionate, and shamelessly falling in love! Please note: 1v1. No idealized first love, no exes, no ambiguous relationships. They're a perfect match from the start. No needless drama, just mutual devotion. This story is set in a fictional world inspired by the Ming and Qing dynasties. Please don't nitpick the history. Upcoming story: "After the Viperous, Sickly Beauty's Heart Turns to Ashes" A frail shou with a demon in his heart, gasping after every few steps x a gong who has a heart but can't speak, graveyard romance Qiao Liang was the Song family's blade and dog, a deadly poisonous flower blooming from the withered tree that clung to Song Shiyang. Song Shiyang was a pleasure Qiao Liang could neither speak of nor think about, yet could never forget. He thought the fleeting happiness of getting what he wanted was happiness enough. So he obsessively clawed his way up, following Song Shiyang's footsteps, becoming a beautiful blade stained with blood, only to end up with the Song and He families arranging a marriage alliance. If you can't have something, there's no need to keep it. * Qiao Liang betrayed Song Shiyang. Half the Song family's business changed hands, and Song Shiyang's position was in grave danger. On the final night of the shareholder vote, Qiao Liang suddenly received the last word on his diagnosis. Ran Man saw him hesitate. "Qiao Liang, if you're going to be stubborn, then see it through. Don't, don't you dare lose your nerve." Her words proved prophetic. At the last moment, Qiao Liang decided to go to hell with the demons who had wanted to kill Song Shiyang from the start. Afterward, a fire burned the old house to the ground... Facing the scorched earth, Song Shiyang swore to make him pay for betraying the Song family! How could he? How could he leave me?! * Years later, Song Shiyang crouched outside the hospital room, holding Qiao Wei by the ankle as he carefully slipped a pair of slippers onto his feet. He did it with such practiced ease that he seemed nothing like a pampered young master. Qiao Liang lowered his eyes. "Young Master, there's no point overdoing the act." Song Shiyang paused. "The floor is too cold." Qiao Liang smiled. "I gave you half my life, half my very life. It wasn't so you'd kneel here and put shoes on a good-for-nothing." Song Shiyang's eyes reddened. "Please, don't be like this. I'm begging you." * Qiao Liang stubbed out his cigarette. Men are just vile. When you love them, they want your life. After you give it to them, they turn around and beg you for love. Tell me, aren't they born rotten to the core? Theme:
