Old Fogey Goes Down The Mountain

Reborn as Lin Jingzhe's Younger Sister

A book list I put together for an event. My personal taste: I read all kinds of things and respect every pairing, though I occasionally get an itch for trashy novels.

Female Leads Ranked from Best to Worst by Low- and High-Control Readers

Completed sweet romances, mostly relationship-focused. Most are 1v1, with a few polyamorous ones. I prefer charming, handsome or cute, sweet bottoms, and like it when the bottom returns the top's feelings. Absolutely no non-consensual tops.

Supernatural Tales, Metaphysics, Feng Shui, Low Fantasy, and the Underworld

Just what it says on the tin. Most should be low-magic, though there may be both modern and historical settings.

Satisfying, Strong, Career-Driven Protagonists with the Plot Centered on the Bottom

I like powerful, satisfying bottom characters who take control, act like kings, are adored by everyone and doted on by the group, or are career-driven workaholics who climb the ranks. I also like bottoms who get plenty of standout moments. I can't stand camera-play bottoms, beautiful tops, or unfaithful tops.

Just Browsing

My personal record of how I felt about the novels I read in 2026 (I'm very harsh with my ratings. I won't include anything I haven't finished reading through the free chapters.

Original Fiction

Original fiction, a bit of everything

BL Novels I've Bought in Full

I like feel-good power fantasies and am not too fond of angsty stories. I don't read romances between employees and their bosses, or stories that put the protagonists through misery. If you feel the same, you're welcome to save this list!

Reading Notes: Personal Taste, Usually Bottoms

Enter with caution if you're very particular about top and bottom roles! Note: Some popular stories I've read before have things I dislike. I included them because I like how the bottoms are written, but I'll make the things that might bother you clear. Use your own judgment.

A Collection of Stories with Adorable, Powerful Bottoms

No unfaithful tops, no tops who are obsessed with Condensed Milk or are the center of everyone's attention, and no bottoms who are behind the camera. The bottom gets the spotlight. I like bottoms with charisma. Updated irregularly. I'm fairly particular.

A Perfect Match

BL, two equally strong leads.

Five-Star Picks Featuring a More Submissive Lead: Completed Novels 1.0

My personal five-star list of novels that won't give you heartburn. The characterization of the bottom matters above all else. No warnings included, so search for them yourself.

2026 Reading

Personal Taste

Saving these for myself in case I run out of things to read in the future, and recommending some of my hidden gems while I'm at it.

Sweet Stories, Truly Sweet Stories (Danmei)

Good, love them, read more.

Handsome Bottoms Showcase

My bottom line: the top must be pure in body and mind, virtuous, doting on the bottom, loyal, and obedient. No bottoms topping tops. I like pretty or handsome bottoms with lots of charisma and high combat strength.

Stories I'll Read Again and Again

Hehehehehehehe (all BL, and I personally prefer sweet, feel-good stories. I don’t read angsty stories, though there are a few with no CP.)

Books for Those Who Like Devoted Bottoms and Faithful Tops

Picked out from the clean-top male lead recommendation list, and I've finished reading them. Double-guaranteed.

A Collection of Hidden Gems

Your eyes are the eighth ocean

Eclectic Reader’s Picks (Personal Reread List)

I tend to focus on the main character. I like mutual love. I don't mind whether the top or bottom is humiliated. Everything else is fine. Every story on this list is one I've read at least twice.

Personal Collection / BL / Mostly Bottoms

A personal reading list. If you only read the books and don't follow the gossip:

The Cutest Cat Bottom in the Universe

Saving all kinds of cat bottoms for myself. Absolute deal-breakers: impure tops, weak tops, and unlucky tops, plus special interest in insect stories. GK, please don't comment. If anything here bothers you, please let me know.

A Good Place to Read Poetry and Books in Bed

Stories I’m especially fond of, mostly historical danmei. Any genre is welcome. I’ll jot down my thoughts after reading. Four stars means recommended; five stars means a personal favorite! (I’ll update the list whenever a new story deserves a spot.)

XXXX, but I Love the Uke

I've read mountains of trash, yet I can still find a glimmer of light in the muck.
