The Crown Princess Wants to Retire (Reborn)

Coming next: Afterglow

Shang Yunuo, an unloved crown princess, fails to take the throne and is killed with a single sword thrust by the subject of a scandal. Reborn on the day of the Empress's birthday banquet, she immediately falls to her knees.

Shang Yunuo: Mother Empress, I've been crown princess for twenty years. I want to retire!

Empress: Do you think I've lived too long? You can retire, but you have to leave an heir. General Shi's son would suit you well.

Shang Yunuo grits her teeth: As long as it's not that idiot Shi Gu.

Shi Gu: I hear I'm marrying you?

Shang Yunuo: ...

A few days later, the two are married. At the Crown Princess's residence, Shi Gu happily lifts the red bridal veil. "Babababa, there's an admission fee to tour the wedding. Sunflower seeds and stools cost extra! Anyone who wants to be my concubine, line up here and sign up."

Shang Yunuo faints on the spot. She wants to call off the wedding. She doesn't want to be crown princess anymore!

Empress: A lazy, haughty crown princess x a sharp-tongued young noblewoman pretending to be foolish. This is an awkward story built around a familiar trope. Please don't notify me if you drop it.

Theme: Promote pacifism, let go of past grudges, and strive to live each day to the fullest.
