Weightlessness

A 70-year-old man from a small town in Northeast China has never left his hometown. In the Mid-Autumn Festival of 2026, the son who was making a living in Shenzhen suddenly lost his job, and the whole family was in trouble. The monthly pension of 2,000 yuan became the only support for the precarious family. She rummaged through the ticket prices and selected the cheapest flight on the ninth day after the National Day. For the first time in her life, she was about to board a plane and fly thousands of miles to the south. She packed her simple luggage with trepidation and stayed in the black land for half her life. When she got old, she had to go to the unfamiliar southern country. There is no spectacular feat, just an ordinary elder silently shouldering the difficulties of the younger generation. The tide of the times hits ordinary people, and all the great ups and downs finally fall into the joys and sorrows of an ordinary family. It writes about the silent support between flesh and blood, and about the unspeakable separation and sadness of a generation hidden behind their long journey. Intention: to write about the silent commitment of ordinary little people in the tide of the times, to depict the silent sacrifice of the elders in Chinese-style family relationships, and to depict the heavy and quiet concerns and life regrets between flesh and blood.
