With My Foster Father's Support, I'll Win Over My Beloved Mentor

For three years, Shen Yan, a third-year medical student, has kept his secret crush on his pathology advisor, Su Qinghe, buried deep in his heart. Held back by their teacher-student relationship and age gap, he is too timid and insecure to do anything but admire him from afar, with nowhere to place the feelings swelling in his chest. By chance, Shen Yan takes a part-time job as a caregiver, looking after Chen Linshan, a blind, retired military doctor who lives alone at the end of an alley in the old city. Though blind, Chen Linshan is perceptive and sharp-minded. From their very first meeting, he sees right through the feelings the young man has hidden away. Moved by Shen Yan’s sincere and pure affection, he publicly takes him in as his godson and vows to be his strongest support. His experienced godfather gradually guides Shen Yan, helping him overcome his insecurities, teaching him how to love with dignity, and giving him the courage to approach the teacher he admires. The young man goes from watching timidly from afar to learning to express his feelings openly. As the two spend their days together in medical studies and clinical research, affection gradually blossoms. His godfather stands firmly behind him, offering advice and witnessing the young man grow from an inexperienced medical student into a doctor who can stand steadily beside the one he loves, shoulder to shoulder. A mutual love between teacher and student, a warm father-son bond between two generations, and two doctors dedicated to protecting the kindness in this world. Theme: Have the courage to face the love in your heart and love with dignity. With a good mentor to guide you and family to stand behind you, a young person learns responsibility as he grows and holds fast to the compassion at the heart of medicine.
