He Only Cried the Day I Burned Our Wedding Photo

Su Wan loved Lu Chen for ten whole years. She willingly gave up her dream of becoming a painter and stayed home in their vast, lonely house. She endured nights of illness alone, watched anniversary after anniversary pass without the celebration she hoped for, and quietly swallowed every grievance. All she got in return was Lu Chen's casual indifference. When Su Wan calmly handed him the divorce papers and walked away for good, Lu Chen assumed she was just throwing a tantrum. After the divorce, not a single light was left on in the empty house to welcome him home. One night, sick and alone, he was jolted awake to his belated regret by someone else's words. He swallowed his pride, went to apologize, and begged her to come back. But he saw Su Wan pick up her paintbrush again and become radiant in her own right. Her love had long since burned out, and a broken mirror could never be made whole again. Su Wan set out toward a new life of her own, leaving Lu Chen trapped in endless regret. Affection that comes too late is worth nothing. Theme: Women should not lose themselves in marriage. Love should be mutual, and appreciation that comes too late is meaningless.
