Fooling the Flood Dragon

[I'll start writing once I find the right cover, 2026/9/24]

Teng Yuan was a jet-black jiao.

Though born a jiao, he still dreamed of transforming into a dragon.

But on the day he took human form, a white dragon who had appeared out of nowhere saw him naked.

From that moment on, he and that white dragon, named Long Kuo, became sworn enemies.

A thousand years later, Teng Yuan still hadn't managed to become a dragon. A little demon who claimed to be from the Qingqiu Fox Clan came to him, claiming she would find him a suitable partner.

Teng Yuan didn't even look at her as he sent her away. “Not interested.”

Seeing that he wasn't interested, the little demon immediately changed her pitch. “Dual cultivation with a dragon can greatly increase your chances of becoming one.”

“Oh?” The jiao opened his eyes.

Half a month later, the little demon really did find him a dragon. Supposedly, it had only a hundred years of cultivation and hadn't yet gained sentience. Dual cultivation would benefit Teng Yuan, though its appearance...

The jiao raised a claw to the young dragon's face and narrowed his eyes. “What is Long Kuo to you?”

The little white dragon replied without batting an eye, “He's my uncle.”

After spending some time with the little white dragon, Teng Yuan decided he really was as innocent as he seemed. A little dragon with a hundred years of cultivation was the easiest sort to fool. With that in mind, Teng Yuan moved his plan to become a dragon up the schedule.

But after the wedding ceremony, the little white dragon he'd spent every day with vanished. In his place stood Long Kuo, his rival of a hundred years. Teng Yuan was instantly dumbfounded.

Naturally, he spent his wedding night in bed with his sworn enemy.

And that wasn't all. When he woke up and went to settle the score, his cultivation was inferior, so he was pinned down and made to do it again.

Teng Yuan: “...”

Damn it!!! He'd been tricked into marriage!

And to his sworn enemy, no less!

That wretched little fox demon had robbed him of both his chastity and his dream!

When Long Kuo heard Teng Yuan was looking for a cultivation partner, he went to the little fox demon in the middle of the night and asked him to help stage a little act.

Jiaos had terrible tempers, while dragons were gentle. The fox demon had been wondering which powerful figure to find to keep the jiao in check, so he agreed without a second thought.

He didn't expect that on the third day after the two were married, while he was out sightseeing, a sudden flood would nearly drown him. Only then did he realize he shouldn't have agreed to Long Kuo so quickly. Teng Yuan, unable to take revenge on Long Kuo, had come after him instead!

The little demon: “We're all demons here. Why must we turn on each other?”
