Dreams, Life, and Illusion

[Pseudo-narcissus / Same origin, different surnames and appearances / They seem to be tragically in love, but are really just acting devoted to each other]

Tan Mengsheng, founding master of the Zhaoyin Xuanming family, was cast through the gates of hell one day and expelled from the family.

The world remembers only his betrayal, not his achievements.

Three thousand years later, he joins a branch of the family again and becomes an utterly ordinary ghost hunter.

Then he captures the junior brother he personally stripped of his cultivation and turned into a ghost three thousand years ago, calling it, "Starting my business by catching someone I know."

Luo Wuyan has lived in the ghost realm for three thousand years and become the Ghost King. But before he can even warm the Ghost King's throne, someone grabs him by the collar and hauls him to the ghost hunters' headquarters.

Luo Wuyan: "Are you crazy?"

Tan Mengsheng sighs, the devotion in his eyes undiminished. "Junior Brother, I think I've fallen in love with you."

Luo Wuyan: "? If you're crazy, go get treated."

Tan Mengsheng: "You're right."

And just like that, Luo Wuyan loses the first kiss he has guarded for three thousand years.

At first, Luo Wuyan thinks Tan Mengsheng has returned to ghost hunting out of boredom. After all, once Luo Wuyan became a ghost, it took Tan Mengsheng just one year to rise from senior disciple to family head.

But a year later, news that Tan Mengsheng had betrayed the Zhaoyin Xuanming family and been expelled from it spreads across the land.

From that point on, Tan Mengsheng vanishes from the mortal world, disappearing for three thousand years.

But when they meet again, Luo Wuyan learns that there was more to what happened back then.

*"You always say three thousand years is too short, but the bond between us goes back further than three thousand years."

*Zhaoyin Xuanming: a family of ghost hunters.
