My Spirit Companion Really Likes You

Jiang Yin is an utterly ordinary guide at Andi Military Academy.

On his first day at school, a strange sentinel drags him into a dim corner and sniffs him from head to toe.

Jiang Yin: "...Classmate, were you a dog in your last life? Can't you break the habit in this one?"

Sentinel: "..."

"Sorry. My spirit animal really likes you."

-

Jiang Yin assumes the sentinel is also from Andi Military Academy, so he lets the rude behavior slide. The school is huge, and surely they'll run into each other again.

But he never imagined the sentinel was an exchange student sent by their rival military academy. The sentinel got lost on his first day and ran into Jiang Yin, who was heading back to his dorm. He was about to ask Jiang Yin for directions when he sensed his unruly spirit animal making a racket.

Sentinel: "..."

Spring hasn't even arrived, but spirit animals don't wait for a particular season to go into heat.

The sentinel realizes his spirit animal has fallen in love.

But the owner of the one it secretly loves has a terrible temper and is cold and distant. The merest glance from him is enough to scare the sentinel off before he can get close.

Sentinel: "..."

Sometimes, even selling your spirit animal would be worth it.

Theme: Love is simply an unavoidable stage on life's journey.
