When Akutagawa opened his eyes, there was no ceiling above him. Ah. Transmigrated again. He closed his eyes the next instant and decided to go back to sleep. Wait. Something was off. Why had he said “again”? Akutagawa had landed straight in the Aeon's arms when he first arrived. After being steeped in Nihility and losing most of his memories, he slowly sat up. Where... was this? Nihility seeped into his nerves, and his faint curiosity was instantly buried beneath the depths. “...Akutagawa?” Nihility. Life is meaningless to begin with. Why not sleep with me? Surrender yourself. Sleep on, lost child... The boy known as the Rashomon Hound strolled through chaotic streets. Bullets passed through his body, but his gentle smile never changed. Weariness lingered in his eyes and at the corners of his mouth, along with listless boredom. Wherever he went, weapons fell silent. “Shh. Nihility needs no sound.” “Ran!” The moment she turned around, the world changed. She remembered her distant past life. There had been someone she loved... Her memories had been left behind in the sunlight. Before her stood a face identical to her own. “...Who are you?” Abundance. Short lives are the true affliction. May all your wishes come true. No suffering, no partings. Child, Abundance will protect you forever... A girl sat on a rooftop, forever waiting for someone close at hand. She ignored the branches growing all over her body, played with a bright red cinnabar pellet, and watched red and black face off across the way. Beneath her feet lay countless yearning gazes, almost strong enough to pierce the towering buildings. “By the benevolence of the Medicine Buddha, let the Ambrosial Arbor grow. The Disciples of Sanctus Medicus are of one heart. Together, we shall ascend to immortality...” The Hunt's arrow was already nocked. One evening, after everything had ended, Hui encountered a familiar figure on an empty riverbank. His sister, who should have been dead, was standing there. “Tsumiki...” Before his voice could reach her, Tsumiki, who had been about to destroy the planet, paused. Destruction. Civilization is a cancer. Destruction is the only end. To welcome new life, one must throw oneself into destruction... “Return to destruction...” “Only through destruction can there be new life...” “Come on, take my hand.” The brown-haired young man held both hands out to his former self. “Don't be afraid. We'll all accept you.” Still lost in the upheaval of being abandoned by everyone, the child looked up in confusion. In the end, he reached out and grasped the salvation offered by himself. Harmony.
