[Genshin Impact] Teyvat's Beloved Refuses to Inherit the Zenin Family

Zenin Xuxue is five years old. Born into the Zenin family, she has no cursed energy.

Her twin brother, Zenin Pushao, is useless too. Though they are the biological children of the head of the Zenin family, the two siblings are worth less there than a single hair on the heads of servants with cursed energy.

They're mud anyone can step on.

That's an accepted fact in the Zenin family.

After all, in the Zenin family, anyone who isn't a jujutsu sorcerer isn't human.

Though they're the children of the current head of the Zenin family, they're the offspring of a woman from another family. And these two ill-omened children supposedly caused their mother's death.

The head of the Zenin family has always ignored the siblings, never even giving them a single steamed bun.

But Zenin Xuxue has a little secret: she and her "older brother" can actually share each other's vision and even communicate telepathically.

[Zenin Pushao] is actually closer to one of Zenin Xuxue's supernatural abilities than to a human. That's what a man told her, a man who was passing by with a little girl with golden hair.

It's just that [Zenin Pushao] was born at the same time as Xuxue for some unknown reason, giving him a consciousness and a physical form.

It was an extremely rare case, and the man seemed quite intrigued.

He invited the Zenin siblings to leave the Zenin family. Xuxue hesitated. She wanted to take her other older brother with her too.

Xuxue remembered her mother saying that she had another biological older brother, three years older than her, named... named Zenin Naoya!

Would Brother Naoya like little Xue? Would he be willing to leave this place with them?

Before Xuxue could decide, the man hurriedly left, as if he'd received some sort of order.

The man gave a strange smile before leaving. He also said that his offer still stood, and if Xuxue ever wanted to leave, she could come find him in Yokohama anytime.

Yokohama... Would it be a beautiful place?

Xuxue packed her bags and waited for spring. Once the snow melted, she and her brother would have a better chance of surviving.

If she ran into Brother Naoya, she'd ask if he wanted to leave with them too.

But Xuxue, who had no cursed energy, lived in the most remote part of the Zenin estate. This winter was especially cold, and another heavy snowfall completely took away all her hope.

Xuxue's fever wouldn't break. After three days and nights, Pushao broke into the inner courtyard like a madman and finally found the other brother she'd been longing to meet.

But all the battered Pushao got was a contemptuous glance from Zenin Naoya and a cold sneer: "What kind of cat or dog dares bark in front of me? Drag him away and punish him according to the family rules!"

Thirty lashes. Pushao died.

Xuxue was about to die too.

The winter snow buried every trace of their existence, then sent them to another spring.

After Rex Lapis defeated the Dream God, he found a child on the way back to the Guili Plains.

Her name was Xuxue. It was spring, yet she was covered in snow and burning with an unrelenting fever. Her hands were covered in chilblains.

He took her to Liyue and raised her alongside the little Yakshas he'd found.

The girl was gentle and considerate, incredibly well-behaved, and blessed with a rare ability to purify.

The Adepti of Liyue: You'll understand if you raise her! She's the sweetest little darling!

Later, everyone in Teyvat came to share a little daughter/little sister.

A thousand years passed. Just as Xuxue thought she'd never return to that nightmare, she was sent back and turned into the little girl she had been then. But it seemed everyone from Teyvat had come along with her too.

According to the jujutsu world, she awakened a new technique called the Bang-Bang Summoning Technique!

She did it! Even Mr. Zhongli, Rex Lapis himself, said it was great!

Pushao came back too, but could only appear as Xuxue's supernatural ability. The first thing they did after returning was put a sack over Zenin Naoya's head and beat the hell out of him!

Then Xuxue grabbed Pushao and her bags, which she'd packed long ago, and hurriedly left the Zenin family.

Given their current ages, the adults of Teyvat carefully chose a place with the fewest cursed spirits for Xuxue: Beika Town.

Xuxue: Who could've guessed there really aren't many cursed spirits here... but there are tons of little black figures!

People still die left and right, and the three-way choices are still everywhere.

The people of Teyvat also took the opportunity to water down the liquor syndicate.

And, while they were at it, they established the Teyvat Consortium.

Xuxue, whose net worth had unknowingly passed a hundred million: Huh?

What? You're saying the Zenin family is claiming she's their heir?
