The Divine Journey

This story is incredibly cringe, so cringe it reaches the heights of Mary Sue fiction, with an overpowered golden finger that will give your toes a perfect workout. In 2012, apocalyptic disasters broke out. All kinds of monsters took over the land overnight, and the world's order completely collapsed. They ate everything, like a swarm of locusts passing through. And humans... were just another item on their menu. Conventional weapons were completely useless against them. As the global population plummeted, the first Guardian God appeared in the distant East. Like the morning star, they illuminated this land shrouded in darkness. Where a Guardian God stood, evil spirits could not intrude. The black flames still burned, flecks of scarlet flickering in and out as ash drifted in the wind, torn into fragments like butterflies. The white-haired god stood in silence upon the wasteland, fiery blossoms blooming around him. Countless grotesque things burned not far before him, letting out anguished cries. Yet he remained calm and indifferent, letting roses bloom in every corner, turning the entire city into a scarlet paradise. The lights of countless homes all lay behind him. But... there was no going back. [Silver, I... am just a little sad.] [Number A003, Codename Blood Rose: Yokohama's Guardian God] Its long silver tail curled around itself. Wings grew from its back, and its icy silver eyes were filled with a cold, inorganic indifference. It lounged on a rock, teasing the monsters with its long, beautiful tail, like a cat playing with a mouse. But the moment the sun rose, the silver scales fell away from its cheeks. The black sheep that crawled out of the Lazarus Pit and the holy god, pure as moonlight, exchanged places in that instant. [I... can't quite remember anymore...] [Number A006, Codename Feathered Serpent: Gotham's Guardian God] It traversed the mountains and rivers of the human world, then turned and walked into the long night. One, two, three. Don't be afraid. It carried a bright lantern, its golden eyes like a flame that would never die. That was the faith forged by five cherry blossoms. [I will never lose myself.] [Number A009, Codename Lantern Bearer: Tokyo's Guardian God] A light drizzle fell, mixed with black pollution. The angel spread its wings and soared into the sky, like the most blazing sunlight, and like the boundless sky, keeping the pollution at bay. [I don't want to hear them wailing in grief.] [Number A002, Angel of the Sky: Guardian God of Italy's Borders] It seemed like an ordinary day, until a black veil suddenly appeared in the sky. [Someone has to remember something, after all.] [I am System A004. From here on, I will tell you the stories that should never be buried.] [Stories about... the gods.] Another spur-of-the-moment new project. I really want to write this one! There are plenty more blurbs I haven't posted yet. These are the characters for now, and I'll be adding more. And yes, this really is a reaction-fic! (I really love reaction-fics!) The stories will mostly be about beautiful, powerful, tragic characters, ahem. (Also, the host only guides the story in the Bungou Stray Dogs arc. In the other arcs, they're just background scenery, there to connect the stories!) It probably won't be very long! Updates follow the rankings, so I'll basically update daily. I'm a night owl, so updates usually come around midnight. If you like me, add this to your favorites! Love you, babes! This story will be VIP-exclusive starting July 18! The blurb was screenshotted on April 26. Theme: Become your own god.
