The Treacherous Minister's Daughter

My father is a treacherous minister, and I'm his only daughter.

As the daughter of a treacherous minister, I'm lustful and greedy. The only thing I have going for me is my pretty face.

Oh, wait. I also have a fiance who's famous throughout the land.

In the eyes of outsiders, top-scorer Chi Youli is a young man of great promise, gentle and courteous to everyone. His match with the spoiled, vicious Ming Shi is an ill-fated union.

Ming Shi bit into a freshly made pastry from the imperial kitchens, her eyes shining. "That's a load of crap! Chi Youli and I were made for each other!"

Back then, the Ming family was powerful, and Ming Shi was riding high. She paid no attention to those people.

Until her father was denounced by political enemies and the whole family was exiled. The once-proud, haughty flower was reduced to mud beneath everyone's feet.

The entire capital waited for Ming Shi to be rejected, eager to take a step forward and trample her.

But they waited and waited, only to see the Ming family restored and Ming Shi return to the capital, smiling like a flower, even more beautiful than before. The usually aloof top-scorer Chi looked at Ming Shi with a high-spirited smile, his eyes bright as stars.

The people of the capital beat their chests in anguish. "How infuriating! Heaven is so unfair!"
