Back Before My Beloved Turned Evil

The first time Huo Ciyou saw Song Heng, they were separated by a sea of people.

Newly appointed as the prefect, Song Heng rode through the bustling streets in an official sedan chair.

The wind lifted the gauze curtain, revealing his handsome, jade-like face. Huo Ciyou was instantly captivated.

Without a second thought, she tugged at the maid beside her and asked, "How much silver would it take for me to have him?"

The maid trembled with fright and desperately urged her to abandon the idea. "He's the prefect, not a possession!"

Huo Ciyou paid no heed and began relentlessly pursuing Song Heng.

For his sake, she donated money and grain, but just before she could confess her feelings, passing refugees knocked her unconscious and kidnapped her.

Huo Ciyou: If I can't have Song Heng, I'll die without peace!

When she opened her eyes again, she had somehow become the long-deceased young aunt of the Huo family.

And there she found a younger version of Song Heng.

This time, she managed to corner him at the entrance to the academy. Looking up at him, she said, "Come home with me. I'll take care of you."

The young Song Heng was shy, his ears turning red as he staggered backward. "Miss, you've mistaken me for someone else."

"I haven't. It's you!" Huo Ciyou frowned and stepped closer. "I have plenty of money. I can easily support you. Why not think it over?"

Huo Ciyou had prepared herself for everything, thinking that this time he would surely agree.

Who knew he'd be so frightened by her that he ran off in a panic and even went to tell his teacher?

Huo Ciyou: ...

She refused to believe it. In all her life, there had never been anything she couldn't get!
