[House of the Dragon Fanfiction] The Valyrian Lunatic

In 232 AC, Illyon Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone, the "Brightflame" and rightful heir to Maekar I, died suddenly after drinking a jug of wildfire while delirious.

In 110 AC, Queen Alicent struggled in labor for three days and nights before giving birth to twin boys. She named the elder Aemond and the younger Illyon. One day, they would accomplish terrible things.

The pyromancers were right. Wildfire really can turn a man into a dragon.

When Illyon opened his eyes again, the broken Iron Throne, brought low by the Blackfyre Rebellion and the Great Spring Sickness, was no longer before him. The Seven had taken pity on his pleas and sent him back to the glorious age when House Targaryen still rode dragons through the skies.

Now the Brightflame Prince, the fourth child and third son of Viserys I and his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower, would face the approaching Dance of the Dragons in Westeros, more than a century earlier. His adversaries would be his ancestor from his previous life, and his elder half-sister in this one, Rhaenyra, along with her fearsome husband, Prince Daemon. Could he save House Targaryen's fate and prevent the dragons from falling?

Tips: 1. A House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms fanfic, using the original book canon, show canon, and original settings. The political scheming is less sophisticated than in New Three Kingdoms.

2. No CP means Illyon II has no romantic pairing. In his previous life, he follows the canon of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and has a wife and children.

3. The author is neither Black nor Green. A character's position does not represent the author's.

4. There may be BL/BG side couples and one-sided crushes.
