The Prince as a Concubine

Handsome top, beautiful bottom, both virgins, one-on-one romance, childbirth.

Xie Zhiyun returned from court and heard about a legal dispute: his two younger brothers were fighting over a personal servant, and neither would accept being told to give the servant up. As their elder brother, it was his duty to teach them a lesson. It was absurd for brothers to quarrel over a mere plaything!

The elder brother made the decision: neither of them could take the servant as a concubine. He also had the troublesome little slave who had stirred up discord seized and beaten.

After having him tortured, Xie Zhiyun concluded that the slave was a scheming sort. Only he could keep him in line, or the household would surely be in turmoil!

So he deigned to take the little slave into his own chambers.

Zhou Du worked tirelessly to save up enough money to buy his freedom, so he could search for his lost memories and family. He never expected to miscalculate one day and become a personal servant to the eldest young master of the Xie household.

He cried, protested, and schemed, all to no avail.

Before he could win his freedom, he was already pregnant. He was elevated to concubine and sent far south to Lingnan with the eldest young master, who had been exiled.

After being taken into his chambers, the mischievous, clever little slave, who had been so shrewd and brave, seemed to lose his old self. All he did now was shirk work and slack off, as though he had lost his bright, clear spirit.

Xie Zhiyun felt a little regretful, but he understood why.

A sparrow in a cage inevitably loses its nature.

He was no different. What meaning was there in this world, with its incompetent emperor? He, too, was a bird in a cage.

After his exile, he had lost all hope and planned to spend the rest of his life in Lingnan with one concubine and three children.

But fate had other plans. A horn sounded, and the people rose in rebellion!

The young concubine in Lord Xie's household disappeared without a trace.

A few years passed. When they met again, they were now ruler and subject.
