The Great Tudor Chaos

In 1502, Arthur, Prince of Wales, died of illness.

In 1503, his wife, Catherine of Aragon, gave birth to twin daughters, Isabella and Joan.

An envoy from Castile arrived to exchange the queen's treaty.

Princess Catherine returned to Castile with the year-old Welsh sisters to visit her gravely ill mother.

The envoy also brought a new marriage contract for Prince Henry.

In exchange for the Welsh sisters' rights of succession, Prince Henry was to marry Eleanor of Austria, the eldest daughter of Princess Juana, heir to Queen Isabella.

Meanwhile, on the equally turbulent Iberian Peninsula, Queen Isabella lies on her deathbed; King Ferdinand is ambitious; the young and naive heir, Juana, is Crown Princess; Archduke Philip hails from the House of Habsburg; and Princess Catherine has returned from England. What grand drama will they perform on the Iberian stage?
