Son of a Prostitute

Carrying his longing for his late wife, Gu Xichao transmigrates into the Xuanzheng world and rediscovers his literary spirit amid despair. Wei Xiaobao uses his life's savings to fund good works and finds a home in a foreign land. Meng Yao grows resilient in the face of discrimination and finds a glimmer of hope in hardship.

They take in the five Zheng sisters, who escaped from a demon lair; Wei Ying, who has lost his parents; the unruly Jiang Xiaoyu; and other children. They build a school, open a clinic, and teach practical skills, creating a patch of blue sky for these lowly lives in a cruel world dominated by immortal sects.

But danger lurks everywhere: a struggle over the family business after Wei Xiaobao dies of illness, the Wen Clan of Qishan infiltrating their ranks, the humiliation brought by Meng Yao's background, and the secrets of Gu Xichao's past... Amid conflicts between immortal sects and worldly prejudice, they must protect this unusual "family."
