The South Wind Rides North

A suspenseful adventure story combining the Sentinel-Guide setting with a modern urban backdrop. Traffic officers Yang Zhi and Pang Jia repeatedly cross paths at Renhua Hospital, but whenever either is around, the other can't manage to ask Doctor Xie Nanxiang out. Beneath what seems like an ordinary urban romance, dark currents are stirring. Yang Zhi is hiding his potential as an A-rank Sentinel, Pang Jia gets caught up in a military investigation while on duty, and Xie Nanxiang has a Guide identity he has never revealed. When an unknown epidemic breaks out along the southwestern border and the infected display abnormal coordination, all three are called up to join a rescue team. After their plane crashes in Yeren Mountain, they and the other survivors struggle to stay alive in the primeval forest, gradually closing in on a concealed truth: this "natural disaster" is actually the revival of "Netherworld," a biological weapons project, backed by an extremist organization bent on "purifying" humanity with bioweapons. From city streets to border forests, from personal feelings to the greater good, the fates of the three become tightly entwined with a battle that will decide whether humanity survives.
