Two Hearts, Hard as Iron

In Lingcheng, where the Empire and the Alliance maintained a fragile peace on the surface while undercurrents swirled below, two brothers raised by the Tie Xin Martial Arts School were swept into a crisis beyond anything they could imagine. Gong Tiexin, a forensic pathologist, encountered a corpse undergoing crystalline transformation during an autopsy and was infected by a strange, active substance, leaving his life hanging by a thread. Jin Tiexin, a sentinel, came face to face with a terrifying creature from another dimension, the "Crystal Algae," at a high-level meeting. As forces including Xiao Shiqin, commander of Mecha Bureau Eight, and Ye Xiu, the "Fighting God," became involved, a truth buried for forty years came to light: the spatial rift deep beneath the East Sea was widening, and an invasion from another dimension had already begun. Crystalline infection, mental mutation, and hidden adaptors... Humanity had to restart the "Pacific Rim Joint Defense Plan" and stake everything on a final battle, relying on mecha and the power of the awakened. Amid the intertwined abilities of sentinels and guides, and faced with the choice between family ties and the survival of the world, the brothers had to confront their respective destinies and find a light to tear through the darkness in a torrent of steel and flesh.
