The Henghai Arcane Arts

Qi Heng, the legitimate son of the Duke of Qi, and Fahai, a high monk from Jinshan Temple, meet when a strange monster causes trouble. Qi Heng is a gifted Qianyuan, while Fahai is a Kunze with exceptionally pure spiritual power. As they investigate a series of cases, including a locust tree demon, corpses rising at the Pei residence, and the mystery of soul-locking nails, they go from strangers to confidants, eventually breaking through the constraints of convention as their feelings quietly take root.

Yet behind the seemingly unrelated cases lies a conspiracy involving an ancient evil art called the Nine Yin Soul-Locking Formation. The mastermind, known as the "Master," secretly lays the groundwork, making Qianyuan and Kunze his primary targets and dragging Qi Heng and Fahai into a deadly whirlpool. The two fight side by side amid family pressure, political turmoil, and attacks by evil spirits. Their feelings deepen with every crisis, but they also face difficult choices between cultivation and worldly life, and between duty and true love.
