The General Must Not Be Trifled With

The world told Fu Qingyan that a woman becoming a general would bring chaos to the court.

But she had no choice. She donned her armor and carved out a path through the ranks of men, becoming the dynasty's sharpest sword.

Until an imperial edict of marriage forced her to wed her childhood friend, the eldest princess, Song Zhaoyang.

One wrong step, and every step after was wrong.

The crime of deceiving the emperor weighed on her like a mountain. She thought her life had fallen into an inescapable dead end.

But when her identity was exposed and thousands condemned her, the person who stepped forward was the very one she most wanted to avoid.

Song Zhaoyang presented a petition from the people of the borderlands and appealed for her with the support of the entire army.

The emperor on the throne looked at his most trusted general and his most beloved daughter, and finally asked, "What is it you two really want?"

In the great hall, Fu Qingyan calmly removed her armor and answered in a clear voice:

"This subject asks for nothing but this: let the merit of seven years of bloody battles earn the women of the realm the right to stand in the sunlight."

Theme: Have the courage to pursue what you want.
