I Only Want to Be Your Star

**Reading guide**

1. **Happy ending**! Happy ending! Happy ending! Three times, because it's important. They both reach for each other, save each other, and weather every storm so they can see the rainbow.

2. **Introverted genius programmer x extroverted, healing goddess**. At its heart, this is the story of two kind girls bravely growing up.

3. **Slow-burn slice of life**, with deep feelings that grow gradually. The romance develops naturally, with both sweetness and angst, but there will definitely be plenty of sugar.

Lin Ruoxi has a simple plan for her life: code, books, and a quiet island of her own.

Then Su Yao crashes into her orbit like a shooting star that doesn't care about the rules.

The dazzling darling of the heavens reaches out to her with a smile and says, "You're so interesting. Want to be friends?"

**Su Yao is the brightest star at Qiming University.**

She comes from a privileged family, has a radiant smile, and is always surrounded by praise and admiration.

But no one knows she gets tired too, or that she feels lonely late at night.

That is, until she meets Lin Ruoxi, a girl as quiet as the starry sky.

Suddenly, Su Yao has a harbor where she can safely come to rest.

**As the line between "friends" begins to blur, and their hearts race with every moment together:**

Lin Ruoxi writes the love she doesn't dare confess into her code;

In front of everyone, Su Yao firmly takes the hand that Lin Ruoxi wants to pull away.

**But reality's gravity is so heavy.**

Family pressure, society's judgment, and disapproval and criticism surge in like a tide.

They once thought love could conquer everything,

until Su Yao's parents find Lin Ruoxi and push a check toward her:

"Leave her. It's what's best for her."
