After I Transmigrated, I Reloaded the Save with the Crown Prince to Build Our Nation

Shen Ruming, a civil engineer, transmigrates to ancient times and becomes a newly appointed female official with the same name.

The good news: She still gets to do the work she knows.

The bad news: In modern times, offending a colleague or boss might at worst cost you your job. In ancient times, offending someone could get you killed in an instant.

Shen Ruming binds to a System and becomes a minor palace maid sent in by the empress's maternal family to lend a hand. In truth, her entire family wants her to make the family shine immediately and bear a son for the empress, who has no children, so the Shen family can continue its glory and prosperity into the future.

Shen Ruming has already reloaded her save several times, and on some occasions she didn't even know what killed her: ...Me?

Never mind the big bosses. Even her coworkers can easily get her killed. Every night, Shen Ruming has the System stand guard while she sleeps, afraid an assassin might suddenly break in and kill her.

Sure enough, an assassin comes. The System shrieks to alert her to the danger and wakes her, but Shen Ruming is so weak she couldn't hurt a fly. Waking up makes no difference. She closes her eyes and even thinks about which save point to choose, accustomed to meeting her death.

But the assassin is only standing by her bed, with the tip of his knife pointed toward the door.

Shen Ruming: ...

Xiao Xianzhao has schemed for years and finally arrived at the Eastern Palace, where he holds an enormously prestigious position.

After slaying his enemy and obtaining a secret report about the previous dynasty, he never expected the plans to be hidden in a storeroom inside the palace.

Even less did he expect that plans which should have been easy to seize would be stolen from him several times.

It wasn't until Xiao Xianzhao noticed something strange about Shen Ruming that he finally understood.

What he needed to steal wasn't the plans, but the chance to keep the person before him safe.
