Your Highness, Wait...

[A seemingly aloof Grand Princess, lonely inside x A seemingly dissolute consort who hides her true abilities, disguised as a man]

Xiao Li is the Grand Princess of the realm, yet she is forced to marry Su Luo, the capital's number one wastrel and the Prime Minister's youngest son.

On their wedding day, looking at her new husband, drunk, timid, and shrinking away like a coward, she feels nothing but coldness and disgust. This is merely a political marriage. As long as they leave each other alone, that will be enough.

So one lives deep within the residence, while the other wanders the streets. They keep out of each other's way.

That is, until an unexpected political storm sweeps Xiao Li into a desperate situation, and every one of those who once fawned over her turns away.

At the critical moment, it is the wastrel consort she despises most who shields her with unerring precision amid the chaos. In those eyes, usually clouded and dull, she sees a sharpness and composure she has never witnessed before.

Xiao Li: ?

From that day on, the Grand Princess looks at her consort differently.

The wastrel is still the same wastrel: his gifts remain hopelessly vulgar, and he still tries to sneak away whenever he comes to pay his respects.

But she gradually discovers that this consort...

Has thin calluses on the back of his hands from sword training, moves nimbly through the streets, and sometimes looks at her with an expression... so complicated it makes her uneasy.

She begins to test him, closing in step by step.
