The Cold-Faced Heiress Insists on Making Me Her Boss

Xu Jin has worked hard to build a business in ancient times, and she is on the verge of opening several branch shops.

Then disaster strikes: the industry giant, the Qian family, wants to acquire her!

The one who comes to negotiate is Qian Mei, the Qian family's eldest daughter, reputed to be ruthless. Her face is stunningly beautiful, and just as chilling.

Xu Jin braces herself and holds her ground, determined to protect everything she has built.

Strangely, the acquisition is all bluster and no action, while the cold-faced heiress visits her shop more and more often.

Stranger still, why does this heiress have two sides?

In public: "Shopkeeper Xu, have you made your decision?" (Her voice could freeze the air.)

In private: (She tugs on Xu Jin's sleeve, her eyes glimmering.) "A Jin, could you make today's sweet soup just for me?"

Later, Qian Mei changes the terms of her contract.

Instead of "acquiring the shop," it now says "acquiring the shopkeeper."

It even comes with a blush-inducing "lifelong betrothal gift."

Xu Jin: "...The shop is yours. Don't pull this kind of thing on me!"

Qian Mei chuckles and pulls her close. "Too late. I want both the shop and you."
