The Iron-Blooded General Is a Crybaby

Everyone knows Shen Jinghong, the Great General Who Guards the North, as a ruthless commander with an iron fist, decisive in battle, whose sword can hold back a million troops.

Nobody knows that this cold-faced god of war, feared by the enemy--

Is afraid of thunder.

Afraid of the dark.

And afraid to sleep alone.

Until one day, a new military strategist joins the army.

Dressed in white, with smiling eyes, gentle-looking and seemingly easy to push around.

Shen Jinghong thinks: Great. This person doesn't look like a threat at all.

Then, in the middle of a thunderstorm one night, she instinctively dives into the arms of someone who smells faintly of cool incense and hears the strategist chuckle above her head:

"General, so this is what scares you?"

Later on--

The enemy bears down on them, and Shen Jinghong sits astride her horse, sword in hand and killing intent blazing.

Behind her, the strategist leisurely unrolls a bamboo scroll. "There's a thunderstorm tonight. General, come back early."

The general, who had seemed possessed by the spirit of a god of death just moments ago, quietly puts away her saber. "...Oh."

The enemy: ??

Wasn't this supposed to be a battle that lasts until dawn???

Premise: With enough effort, anything is possible
