It never compromises with its environment, is unwilling to be trapped in a low-lying depression, breaks through the constraints with tenacity, and grows towards the sun; it never compromises with the common fate around it, does not flow with the vines, does not bend with the miscellaneous trees, and maintains its own character; it never compromises with the mediocrity of the moment, takes root and grows day by day, and rises upward year by year. It does not seek quick success, but seeks steady precipitation. In the spring, new branches are sprouted in the rain and dew, in the scorching sun in the summer, the muscles and bones are strengthened, in the autumn, the branches and trunks are strengthened by the frost, and in the winter, they stand on the cliffs against the ice and snow. A hundred years have passed by in a blink of an eye, and the two pines and cypresses that once grew up in the same mountain are completely different. The pine and cypress that had been making do with it had long since turned into ashes, while the pine and cypress that had stuck to their true intentions and refused to give in had grown into towering trees, with strong and straight branches, and a crown that covered the sky and sun, standing proudly on the top of the mountain. Literati came here to praise his majestic character; craftsmen came to look for him and called him a peerless pillar that could build high platforms and halls. He was of extraordinary worth and respected by others. Everything in the world has the same principles. Plants and trees are like this, and so are people. Most ordinary people in the world are trapped in the word "make do" throughout their lives. When choosing a career, I originally had lofty ambitions, but because I was afraid of hard work and coveted stability, I comforted myself that "a job to make ends meet is enough," so I wasted years in a position that was devoid of growth and wasted time, wasting away my ambition day after day, leaving me exhausted and with nothing after middle age. When making friends, I know that the negative energy in the circle will only lower the status quo and consume the mind. However, because I am afraid of loneliness and hindered by human feelings, I am unwilling to stay away decisively. I make do with ineffective social interactions, waste time in gossip and comparison, and gradually lose myself in trivial matters. In the relationship, knowing that the three views are inconsistent, getting along with each other internally, and there is no warmth but suffering, but with the idea of ​​​​"living life is the same, just make do with it", you humiliate yourself, blindly compromise, and finally exhaust your sincerity, overcome your mood, and live a miserable life. The biggest drain in life is never the ups and downs on the road ahead, but making do with everything and compromising everywhere. The weak are accustomed to going with the flow and compromise easily when encountering problems; the strong stick to their inner bottom line and never give in to anything. In life, there is never an escape route of "almost enough", there is only a way forward of "keep improving". If you do not compromise with yourself, life will not be perfunctory with you; if you stick to your heart and do not compromise, fate will give you a higher pattern and a longer future.
