The Rise and Fall of Power

This is more than a story about climbing the ladder of power. It is a lament for power itself. We explore what happens when someone with ideals and a sense of humanity enters a political arena where officialdom is the law of survival: how they are shaped, eroded, and transformed, and whether they can ultimately find a balance between who they are and the role they hold.

• Tone: Somber and realistic, with a compassionate realism. It does not chase the cheap thrill of face-slapping, nor sensationalize political conspiracies. Instead, like a sharp scalpel, it coolly lays bare the complex human dilemmas of life in officialdom.
