In the Apocalypse, the Vegetables I Grow Cost More Than Gold

During the disaster-ravaged apocalypse, apprentice chef Lin Wanzhao flees with her younger brother, carrying out her grandmother’s dying wish. In the ruins, she finds an abandoned vegetable garden and uses the seeds her grandmother left behind to start farming. She trades her cooking for supplies, going from securing enough food to building a base that can house hundreds. Along the way, she overcomes drought, floods, resource conflicts, and the treachery of human nature, gradually becoming the apocalypse’s “Queen of Farming.” In the process, she and the cold bounty hunter Shen Qingzhu go from wary adversaries to fighting side by side and falling in love. In the end, they turn the base into a peach-blossom paradise amid the apocalypse.
