A Business War Legend

Li Nan, a country girl, heads to the city to sell handmade jewelry at a street stall and earn money for tuition. Thanks to her natural humor, she talks her way out of trouble with the urban management officers and haggling customers. During a misunderstanding, she jokes, “This hair clip will make people turn around more often than I've set up my stall,” making Huang Mengqi, an executive at a publicly listed company, laugh. Impressed by Li Nan's “comedic negotiation skills,” Huang invites her to join the company as a sales representative. From then on, Li Nan uses her unorthodox trick of “making the client laugh to close the deal” to tackle workplace infighting, rivals' sabotage, demanding major clients, and other business battles. For instance, she spills coffee on a contract and turns the stain into “lucky doodles” to amuse the client, or defuses unreasonable clauses by quipping, “Your terms are stricter than my mom's pressure to get married.” Huang Mengqi goes from a “cool-headed strategist” to her comedic partner. Together, they complement each other, work their way up from sales newcomers, and eventually start their own company. They use humor to outlast their rivals and turn them into subordinates, becoming a legendary comedy duo in the business world.
