Scavenger Beneath the Iron Sky

In the near future, the megacorporation Skytech builds floating fortresses above the city, turning the sky into the domain of the privileged. On the ground, the forgotten old districts have become steel graveyards, their rusted ruins corroded year-round by acid rain. Lin Hao is a young scavenger who spends his days searching the ruins for discarded parts, trading them for meager supplies. His greatest dream is to save enough money to buy a pass to the middle district and escape his rotten life on the ground. When his younger sister falls gravely ill, Lin Hao risks entering the depths of a restricted zone, where he accidentally triggers the wreckage of a black mech abandoned for decades. The moment his hand touches its cold control stick, a dark red light suddenly flares in the mech’s eyes. A cold mechanical voice pierces directly into his mind: Identity verified. Welcome back, Arbiter Zero Seven. At the same time, a glaring red alarm lights up on Skytech’s surveillance screens: The signal of the first-generation prototype, missing for thirty years, has reappeared. In that instant, the peace between the sky and the ground is torn apart.
