Braised Pork in a Rented Room

Two college graduates with dreams, Zhou Ming and Zhao Yang, share a cramped rental room in Shanghai and vow to “make a life for ourselves here together.” But the current of reality soon sweeps them to opposite shores. Zhou Ming stands out in sales thanks to his impressive abilities, while Zhao Yang repeatedly hits dead ends in his search for work in animation design and sinks into deep self-doubt. When one races ahead and the other falls to the bottom, how will their purest brotherly bond withstand the chill of reality? A steaming bowl of braised pork and the words “Now it’s my turn to be there for you” become the warmest support they can offer each other in this cold city. This is a story of hard work, choices, and two brothers who choose to pull each other up, in good times and bad.
