Above the Frozen Wastes, Beneath a Scalding Galaxy

To keep an aurora date she had been waiting three years for, astronomy enthusiast Xia Xing set off alone across Iceland’s frozen terrain, only to be stranded in the wilderness during a blizzard. Just as she thought her journey would end in disappointment, a pair of headlights cut through the snowstorm and lit up the rest of her life. The man named Lu Ye was a photographer who chased light and shadow. Beneath his cool exterior was a heart just as passionate as hers. He rescued her from the storm, gave her warmth, and shared with her a dazzling starry sky they would never forget. From Iceland’s black-sand beaches to the neon lights of the city, two souls who had been lonely in their pursuit of “perfection” found the one thing that made them “whole” through a series of imperfect encounters. It turns out the most beautiful view isn’t the aurora in some distant place, but the person beside you, sharing it with you.
