The Viewers of My Haunted Livestream Are Watching Another World for Me

To uncover the truth behind his younger sister Lin Xiaoman’s bizarre death, Lin Shen restarts the supernatural livestream she hosted, “Midnight Horror.” The comments are unsettling: viewers can always warn him of dangers he can’t see, yet they also keep offering “misleading hints” that draw him toward an even deeper conspiracy. As he explores haunted places on the stream, including an abandoned apartment building, a kindergarten, and a school, he discovers that reality and the livestream world are gradually overlapping. His own rented apartment is exactly like a scene from the stream, and a mysterious tattoo identical to his sister’s has appeared on his wrist.

It turns out that the siblings are both experimental clones created from “soul energy” by Chen Mo, the platform’s CEO. The viewers are energy sources implanted with chips, and his sister was silenced after she awakened. Bearing the fate of “Test Subject No. 001,” Lin Shen joins forces with other awakened clones and vows to destroy the servers and end this cruel livestream that feeds on fear. But at the very end, he discovers that his own existence is part of an even greater deception.
