Qin Zhan Slays Ten Thousand Soldiers Alone

At the northern frontier stands an iron-walled fortress. Qin Zhan, a righteous spear master, has guarded it for ten years. His spear, the Ink Flood Dragon, keeps evil forces and the northern barbarians at bay. His spear style, Dragon's Stride and Tiger's Step, sweeps wide and powerfully, unrivaled in its ferocity, like a dragon soaring through the heavens and a tiger crouching on a mountainside. But the wicked Black Fiend Cult and the barbarian Canglang tribe launch a sudden joint attack with ten times the defenders' numbers, leaving Ironwall Pass on the brink of collapse. On the day the city falls, Qin Zhan sends the remaining soldiers away, then charges alone back into the enemy ranks, heading straight for their chieftains, the Wolf King and the Black Fiend Cult elder. His battle robes are soaked in blood, his body covered in a hundred wounds, yet his spear grows more fearsome with every desperate fight. The roar of dragons and tigers pierces the sky, and the Ink Flood Dragon drinks blood as if alive, unstoppable wherever it strikes. He cuts through the encirclement, spears the enemy chieftains, then, with the strength left in his dying body, hurls one final, fatal thrust. The Ink Flood Dragon tears through clouds and wind, slaying the fleeing enemy leader and leaving the allied armies utterly terrified, sending them fleeing a hundred li. Beneath a blood-red setting sun, Qin Zhan stands proudly amid the ruins of the lonely city, leaning on his spear. Even in death, the spirit of his Dragon's Stride and Tiger's Step will guard the frontier forever, striking fear into every invading foe. Amid blood and fire, one man and one spear compose a tragic final song of the martial artist and the soldier's spirit.
