When a Gentle Breeze Turns the Pages

Su Nian is an unnoticed Chinese literature major with two lifelong passions: curling up in a corner of the library and restoring old books forgotten by time. Her life is like a quiet dictionary, until she accidentally spills a cup of coffee… right in front of Lin Jingshen, the physics department’s star student, and all that he holds dear.

Lin Jingshen is a legend whose name alone can set the campus forums ablaze. He is a walking physics equation and the very definition of cool composure, but then he meets the clumsy Su Nian.

She thought it would be the most mortifying scene imaginable, but the old book that had nearly been ruined became the only thing connecting them.

A tiny room for restoring ancient books, and two hearts slowly drawing closer.

He watches her use a pair of tiny tweezers to gently smooth away the wrinkles left by time.

She sees the occasional glimmer of warm sunlight reflected in his cool, clear eyes.

It turns out that the most moving physical phenomenon in the world isn’t the stars and the universe. It’s that when I walk toward you, you happen to be right here too.

A heartwarming story about restoration, and about healing.
