The Storm Singer and the Shadow of Deep Space

Gale can summon rain with his songs, but the lord forbids him from calling for rain in order to monopolize the water supply.

He sings in defiance of the ban and finally summons a long-awaited downpour.

But the rain carries shadows from beyond this world, circling beneath the storm clouds.

The shadows devour the lord's guards, yet the lord accuses Gale of summoning demons.

Imprisoned, Gale discovers that the lord has been feeding the despair of the villagers to these otherworldly creatures all along.

His deaf-mute sister, Ella, is the only one who can see the shadows' true forms.

When the lord tries to sacrifice Ella for power, Gale sings a forbidden song amid the torrential rain.

The fortress collapses in the flood, and the shadows wheeling overhead let out a piercing shriek.

Rain is no longer salvation, but a passage through which otherworldly creatures can enter.

Gale takes Ella's hand, and his song becomes their final protection amid the flames and flood.
