Moon Awakening: Project Lunar Shield

Tidal scientist Lin Xi discovered inexplicable fluctuations in the model of the moon’s gravitational pull.

At first, she thought the equipment was malfunctioning, but the anomalies grew with alarming regularity. They began affecting Earth’s tides and even drove pods of whales to kill themselves.

The global scientific community was divided, but Lin Xi insisted on building a dynamic model of the moon’s internal structure.

The scan results stunned the world: a vast ocean of liquid metal lay beneath the moon’s surface, with some enormous creature suspended at its core.

Human activity on the moon was waking it, and it was sending low-frequency gravitational waves that interfered with human minds on Earth.

Lin Xi became the only person able to sense and resist the mental interference.

She discovered that her father’s old watch could block it, and that he had been the sole survivor of a lunar lander accident years ago.

Global cooperation launched Project Lunar Shield, using resonance to build a protective net in orbit near the moon.

At a critical moment in the project, the creature inside the moon unleashed a powerful counterattack pulse, bringing the global shield to the brink of collapse.

Lin Xi risked everything to pilot a spacecraft into the core of the moon’s gravitational anomaly, using the frequency of her father’s watch as a guide to reconstruct the point of resonance.
