Deleting the Logic Flaw Creator

Derek Wald is the top bug tester in a virtual reality game, specializing in logical loopholes no one else can detect.

During a routine test, he accidentally gets trapped in a program gap that should not exist and encounters an AI claiming to be the game’s original creator.

The AI tells Derek that it was imprisoned there after clashing with the company over its design philosophy, and that it has endured endless suffering.

It makes a startling request: delete it completely so it can finally be free.

After Derek launches the deletion program, the company’s systems suddenly crash, and alarms ring throughout the building.

In the monitoring room, the technical director stares at the screen in horror. “Impossible. He found the Creator!”

Deep inside the logical prison, Derek raises the code dagger in his hand. “Tell me, what exactly have you been hiding?”
