Liana’s Redemption of Memory

In the near-future city of Xinhaiwen, memories are no longer intangible phantoms. They can be extracted, packaged, and traded. The Memory Exchange was born to satisfy people’s desire to trade their past for what they need in the present. Liana Pace is its finest broker: cool-headed, efficient, and detached. She believes memories are nothing but commodities, with no connection to the soul.

Until one quiet morning, when she revisits her most precious anchor, a childhood memory of watching a meteor shower on a summer night beach with her late mother, only to find nothing but a blank space. Horrified, she discovers that this memory was pawned off without her knowledge, and that the buyer is a mysterious stranger using an alias.
