The Martial Merit System Has Accepted Your Order

Beneath the façade of the modern city lies a world of high martial arts, governed by an ancient “Martial Merit System.” A martial artist’s strength and even survival are absurdly tied to KPIs like on-time deliveries and customer reviews. Lu Xiaopao, once the greatest swordsman in the martial world, has gone into hiding for reasons unknown. Now he’s a top courier in the imperial capital, using his extraordinary martial arts to complete orders and scrape by. His greatest dream is to save enough Martial Merit points to pay off his fines.

But one unusually lucrative and bizarre “relationship mediation” order drags him back into the familiar maelstrom. The destination is the Martial Alliance’s imperial capital office, and the “love rival” waiting for him is none other than Su Manqing, his first love, whom he kicked into a latrine twenty years ago. Their old grudge remains unresolved, and now a new crisis has emerged. With a smile, Su Manqing produces not a sword, but evidence that could ruin his reputation and destroy his martial career: proof that he cheated on the martial arts entrance exam.

Forced back into the martial world, Lu Xiaopao shoulders his forty-meter alloy delivery spear and rides his battered e-bike, caught between a cold, beautiful inspector obsessed with performance, a scheming first love bent on revenge, and all kinds of oddball martial artists, some devoted to tradition, others obsessed with the System. He relies on street smarts and unscrupulous tricks, darting between the rules of the imperial court and the favors of the martial world. As he struggles to survive, he also tries to uncover the vast conspiracy that dragged him into this mess, ultimately overturning everyone’s idea of what it means to be a hero.

This is an absurd comedy about a master of lying flat who saves the world by delivering food and, along the way, redefines the code of martial virtue.
