Urban Qi Meridians: The Secret Case Files of the Six Doors

In Longcheng's morgue, the third “mummy” gleamed like dry tree bark. Its chest was so sunken a fist could fit inside, yet half of the Leng family crest, stained with blood, was lodged beneath its fingernails. Leng Feng gripped the crest, and his Insight Eye suddenly seared with pain. This method of draining someone's meridians was exactly the same as the one used on the night his family was massacred ten years ago!

This hotheaded troublemaker from the Six Fan Gate, who once talked back so sharply that his superior threw down a stack of files, would turn around and crouch outside the police station, feeding stray cats dried fish to replenish their meridians. While investigating a case, he ran into a formidable opponent: Ling Xue, a medical doctor whose white coat concealed a pouch of needles. She was fierce enough to point a Spirit Pivot needle at him and demand the case files, but when she saw the massacre scars on his chest, she quietly slipped him a prescription to repair his meridians.

Then there was Shi Gang, who charged strongholds with a steel pipe and stole potato chips from Liu Ruyan, and Liu Ruyan, whose black System swore like a sailor and whose hidden weapons could knock an enemy's blade aside with pinpoint accuracy. This eccentric team overcame one obstacle after another. In the fighting arena, Leng Feng kicked an ambusher flying and froze his meridians with an ice spike. When an elder of the Martial Alliance mocked them as nobodies, Shi Gang slammed his steel pipe onto the table, sending teacups flying, while Liu Ruyan projected evidence that the elder had been reselling meridian crystals.

But Nangong Yu, young master of the Shadow Pavilion, was even more deeply concealed. By day, he was a philanthropist who donated to hospitals; by night, he refined martial artists' meridians in Longcheng Tower into blood-red crystals. He also clutched a secret letter from the Leng family: “After the ritual, everyone in Longcheng will be my meridian vessel!” More astonishing still, when Ling Xue took a blade for him, the meridian energy drifting from her wound matched the Leng family's meridian-protection spell.

When purple mist shrouded the city and ordinary people began controlling water, Nangong Yu finally revealed the truth with a wild laugh: “Your family was massacred to seal an extraterrestrial meridian rift!” Leng Feng grasped the secrets of the Heaven-and-Human stage through Ling Xue's needle techniques and crippled Nangong Yu. But an email suddenly popped up on Liu Ruyan's computer: a black-patterned martial artist was breaking through a spatial rift, his eyes fixed on Longcheng.
