The Insect Speaker: Apologizing to Cockroaches on Livestream from the Start

Who else can relate? Zhang Ya, a burned-out office worker and streamer, is livestreaming from an abandoned factory when she blurts out “I’m sorry” to a cockroach swarm. To her surprise, she awakens the superpower to communicate with insects! From then on, her livestream turns into a “Diary of Observing the Insect Kingdom”: ants building Lego, bees exposing industry secrets, and a pet mantis scaring a delivery guy into tears. The story of an office worker’s rise to become a top-tier star among “insect whisperers” begins!

One day, the mysterious big shot Lu Xingche shows up with the bizarre excuse that “cockroaches chewed through my server cables.” A classic wall-pinning scene follows: “Miss Zhang, will you pay me back... or repay me with yourself?” As it turns out, this tech mogul is a mantis-human hybrid who has lived for 300 years, while Zhang Ya is a rare all-attribute insect whisperer! When the “Keepers of Order,” an organization hidden in the human world, and the radical faction of the insect race both close in on them, the office-worker-turned-savior is forced into “fall in love while saving the world” mode.

“Lu Xingche, they say I’m a harbinger of doom!”

“Then I’ll be your personal guardian against doom.” The silver-haired big shot spreads his enormous mantis wings and pulls her into his arms. “Anyone who wants to hurt you will have to ask these scythes for permission first.”

From hilarious everyday moments on her livestream to a sugary interspecies romance, from the dangerous game of the insect civil war to the life-or-death race to evade the Keepers of Order, this fantastical adventure about “an office worker running off with an insect big shot” ends on a high note, with a cross-dimensional wedding livestream watched by over a hundred million viewers. Nothing but sweetness, no angst, and nonstop laughs and heart-flutters. This is the ultimate office-worker comeback and doting romance combo. Are you sure you don’t want to check it out?
