Reborn, I Rise to Fame in the Harem with My Yandere Sister Complex

When the bowl of bitter apricot kernels arrived in the Cold Palace, An Lingrong smiled.

In her previous life, she embroidered dragon robes for the emperor until she went blind. Only as she lay dying did she understand that the true deity worth kneeling to in this imperial harem was Zhen Huan, the one who had offered her a crabapple pastry.

She opened her eyes again, back on the eve of the selection.

“Elder Sister!” She threw herself into Zhen Huan’s arms with such force that apricot blossoms scattered across the ground, while her fingertips precisely flicked out a scented pellet. Thirty feet away, Xia Dongchun’s skirt ripped with a “rrrip,” revealing scarlet underpants.

All the onlookers saw was the timid daughter of the Songyang County Magistrate lowering her head. “Lingrong… admires Elder Sister’s grace.”

No one noticed the ledger fluttering in her sleeve:

**Third month, seventh day, Guiwei year: Abortion incense in Yikun Palace. Redirect it to Consort Hua.**

**Twenty-ninth day of the twelfth month: The late Empress Chun’s old clothes. Give them to the Empress.**

When the shimmering brocade was presented to Zhen Huan, she was humming as she coated a poisoned needle. “The pale moonlight pattern suits Elder Sister’s eyes best.” Then she turned and tossed a matching piece of fabric to Huanbi. “Put it on. This concubine is giving it to you!”

That night, Huanbi’s body broke out in sores. An Lingrong blew on a spoonful of crucian carp soup. “It’s hot, Elder Sister. Take your time.”

On a summer night, lotus fragrance filled the waterside pavilion. Barefoot, she entwined her toes with Zhen Huan’s silk socks. “How lovely the twin lotuses look…” The golden bell at her ankle rang sharply, and Yu Ying’er was dragged into the mud by a swarm of fish.

Turning around, she lifted a dewy lotus seedpod and smiled, her dimples full of starlight. “I’ll make sweet soup for you, Elder Sister~”

Until the day of the blood test.

The Empress sneered. “Zhen Huan committed adultery!”

An Lingrong suddenly clapped three times. Four assassins dragged out a bloodstained witness. She brushed a tear from Zhen Huan’s cheek with her fingertip and put it to her lips. “What is the cold blood of the phoenix throne compared with my elder sister’s sweet tears?”
