The Truth of History Revealed

The victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was of tremendous historical significance. Taking a historical and dialectical view of this painful chapter in human history, we can say that it was a colossal disaster for human society, one that devastated human civilization. At the same time, however, it ushered in a new era of human history and had a broad and far-reaching impact on the postwar world. It helped usher the world into a relatively peaceful era of balanced power; advance national liberation in some colonial countries; bring about the birth of many socialist countries; spur economic, political, and social reforms in capitalist countries; advance science and technology around the world; advance military technology and theory; bring about a great revolution in human understanding of the present; and deepen peoples' understanding of peace.
